My Turn

11 Sep

In this age of internet, constant connectivity, and over-communication, it seems like everyone has a blog. I’m not much a trend follower though (I must be one of the few people in America between the ages of 10-25 that doesn’t have a twitter) so I never guessed that I would one day be joining the blogging world.

I guess I can still surprise even myself.

I give a lot of credit to my friend Meghan of the amazing food blog nestMeg. She showed how a blog can keep you motivated and turn into something much bigger than you ever imagined. So it’s my turn now.

The main reason I am starting this blog is to hold myself accountable as I start a new phase in my life. I just graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) this May and started my big girl job at a commercial printing company at the end of June. This blog isn’t going to be for complaining about work, but rather for sharing what I do outside of the office with the rest of the world. It’s to make sure that I keep doing the things I love and help me balance my career (Ink) and my passions (Flour).

Some of the things that I will hopefully be sharing with you in the future include recipes, kitchen experiments, hang gliding adventures, crochet projects, book reviews, and whatever other trouble I get myself into.

Wish me luck!
